How I moved from average to a 5.0 GPA student Pt.1 …
This is a must-read if you want to take your academics to the next level!
I must say
The journey hasn’t been all rosy,
But God has been the Head and the one who crowns it all.
I came into University as an average guy with the basic distinction level High school leaving certificate
But I knew deep down that I was exceptional
Several people had told me to my face
But what was really holding me down?
Why was I not one of the best by the grading scale back then?
What was the missing piece?
I actually found out that I was nonchalant and complacent.
I knew I wanted those high grades but I wasn’t showing that they were my priorities.
I was always part of the football squad, we don’t miss the weekend ball.
What a foolish move you might think.
Looking back, I thank God that I was good at least.
Unless I would have felt more terrible that I was always whiling away my time with something I wasn’t good at.
“Tboy” my nickname… Was always loaded with football praises.
But Covid changed my life
A day before the lockdown was declared in my country I received my UTME results (for those who aren’t Nigerian UTME stands for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination).
It was an average grade I had a 256 out of 400.
My life changed that day
I don’t want this post to be too long
So I’ll end here today
Why wasn’t I doing right?
What would you like to add to this?
What resonated with you the most?
What was I getting wrong in my early days?
Answer this as it relates to my story then answer the question as it pertains to you.
