Sometime late last year, I had my 2-months internship defense. It was an eye-opening experience.
I knew a coursemate in a panel who was in a rush to be done with the whole defense and therefore insisted on being one of the first to defend in the panel.
It was a lesson to him at the end because he noticed there were some things, he could have corrected during his presentation Like him using more technical terms, listening more, and knowing what areas of the presentation to focus on.
After the rush it ended in some form of regret because there was really no reason to rush
As the manual of life says
“It is wrong to be enthusiastic without any form of prior knowledge.”
You must possess good enough knowledge about a thing before running fully into it.
Endeavour to follow through on the nitty gritty and information behind processes or systems before indulging in them.
My message today is to avoid the rush that comes when performing some tasks especially if they are crucial,
Our defense was crucial and wouldn’t require a rush, there was a place of personal work in:
0. Laying the activity before God.
1. Studying the personalities on the panel
2. Knowing what areas, they expect you to address.
3. Identifying the kind of questions, they asked the students.
We should learn to be more sensitive, instead of rushing into crucial matters.
Have you ever rushed into something and regretted the outcome?
